As Wes' team is guiding me through the design process, he has helped me identify issues that I should consider during the project. They have handled smaller projects for me in the past and I have come to trust them and rely on them. They say what they are going to do so I can understand it and then they simply do it. In Wes we trust.

We had been looking for a design/build team that could build our dream, lakeside, retirement home. We met Wes and McGregor during a home tour of a home they had built. Their honesty and integrity came across to me immediately, traits that were reinforced through my subsequent discussion with the homeowner. We eventually hired Northstar and could not be happier with the result. McGregor worked with us to develop a design that, after a year of living here, works perfectly for us. I also liked their style of working, including us in discussions and decisions every step of the way, and working in a way that does not result in a never-ending series of renegotiations and change orders. I am doing a lot of the finish work myself, and the quality of what they put in place is obvious. Lines are true, walls solid, and our heating bill last winter was amazingly low. Working with Northstar can take a bit longer than hiring a larger, higher volume firm. They purposely keep their team small to insure quality and management through the highs and lows of the construction industry. We were always comfortable with all members of the Northstar team. Our neighbors often commented on how quiet and respectful the team would be during a, by definition, noisy building process. The best complement we can leave for Northstar is to say that, several years after we started, we would hire them again without hesitation.

Our experience with Northstar was top notch! As soon as we met Wes and Mcgregor I knew this was the Contractor to build our retirement home. They are both very professional and personable. We worked on the plans for our home and met with Wes and Mcgregor at least twice a month to lay out the rooms and make additions or deletions for 9 months before we broke ground. Once the project began we had open communication and never did we feel like we couldn't interject and make a change after the fact. Every day during the building process felt like Christmas. Something new and exciting to see! Wes spent his Saturdays sitting with us and the kitchen designer (for hours), looking at windows and sliders, taking us to a custom hardwood shop to choose our flooring. We didn't expect such personal treatment and it was so nice to have his expertise throughout the project. This is not a job for Wes it's a labor of love! That is evident and what I saw in Northstar the very first time we met them. Nortstar is a full service Contractor! They work very hard to make your vision and your dream become a reality!
