“We hired Boss Design Center for a full house renovation plus a rear home addition in Arlington and honestly the project turned out way better then what we had in mind at first. We added almost 900 sqft to the back of the house including expanding the kitchen, creating a larger family room and adding a master bathroom upstairs. The house was from the 1950s so there was alot of weird structural surprises once walls started opening, but their team handled it without making us panic every week. One thing I really appreciated was they didn’t just try to “sell cabinets”. Talha and the design team actually pushed us to rethink the layout completely and it made huge difference in how the house flows now. They moved the staircase wall slightly, added a hidden pantry, and designed a mudroom area that somehow made our chaotic family entrance finally usable lol. The walnut custom cabinets and the giant Taj Mahal island became everybody’s favorite part of the house. Also important, they were pretty honest when something was not a good idea. I originally wanted to keep a load bearing wall partially opened with columns and Talha basically told me “its going to look dated in 5 years” and he was right. The final flush beam opening made the house feel twice the size. Project management side was also solid. There was always somebody on site and communication was much better then other contractors we dealt with before. We lived in the house during half the construction and the dust protection setup was actually impressive. Not perfect of course because construction is construction, but way cleaner then expected. The addition exterior blended with the original house so well that neighbors thought it was always part of the home. Even county inspections and permit process which I expected to be nightmare was handled by them. Not the cheapest company, but after going through this size renovation I understand why. Attention to detail and design thinking is on another level compared to normal remodeling companies. If you are doing cosmetic refresh only maybe overkill, but for serious custom renovation/addition project they really know what they are doing.”

We have a small cape cod built in 1945 and wanted to open up our living room/kitchen space, and redo the bathroom, but we weren't interested in doing an addition. We also wanted to fix the stairs going down to the basement so they were no longer dangerous. This was no small project! It was a whole main floor renovation.
