A guild of craftsmen fascinated by the human stories from Old Industrial New York. Enamored of iron, glass, wood, leather and stone, we use them to capture the magic of daily life during the bygone days of New York. We found out that the charm and beauty of human moments lived by those that toiled and love during the feverish industrial days of our town, is still there, like good phantoms hiding in the alleys of downtown, or the attics of an abandoned brownstone in the Harlem, or the shadows of our parks and subways or anywhere that you can spot them with the eyes of your heart. “It is only with the heart that one can see rightly; what is essential is invisible to the eye”. Book LITTLE PRINCE by Antoine de Saint-Exupery That’s why we ganged together in an adventure to salvage as many pieces from Old Industrial New York as we can, redeem them from the night of time and give them a new lease on life to have their story told again and again, adding a unique spark of awe to the experience of living among contemporary folks that had their imagination captured by those fairy-tale days. In our workshop, we take each piece that we rescue and start dreaming how to re-invent it again; finding ways that are always functional, but also and mainly a source of inspiration and satisfaction for who owns them.
