“We built a pretty complicated house in Alta, Wyoming, with the help of Wilkinson-Montesano. It was complicated because we wanted to incorporate and re-purpose some old buildings (for instance, pig sties), and also needed a functional horse barn with winter access through a tunnel, and wanted to use a variety of materials, some of which would be considered very low-end (i.e. cement block), in an effort to blend seamlessly with buildings that existed on the site. The project involved re-habbing old buildings, physically moving one building, massive dirt-moving, and constant creativity and open-mindedness. Never did we hear from Wilkinson-Montesanto, "that's never going to work," or "you don't want to do that," or "that's not what you originally said." In fact I've never worked with a builder more willing to adapt to changes, as quickly and efficiently as possible, and create what we wanted in a process that by its nature could not be totally planned in advance. Not only that, we enjoyed working with them. We're still friends. Couldn't recommend them more highly.”
