Apex Construction

Contracted with this company for an outdoor kitchen/pergola and other small projects in March 2020. Ran into several delays with several excuses for the incomplete work. Here we are in September and the work is still not finished and what is done is poorly constructed. See the previous post regarding his identity.

Be warned!!! This company disappeared with our money. We were promised a 3.5 week turnaround, and it has now 5 months. The owner states that he can't complete any projects because all of his workers have COVID, yet he continues to take on new business. The truth behind the Canyon Lake photos listed on this site: 1. The ceiling lights are misaligned and not all completed. There are holes in the ceiling still. 2. The plastic tarps were laid only after we showed up to our home to see that NOTHING was protected, unless you count the rug that was moved from the floor to cover our bed. 3. The antique cabinet in IMG_1656 was destroyed when the workers threw it into the garage. 4. The travertine is gouged in several areas is not complete allowing for insects to crawl in at the doorways. 5. IMG_2017 and 2018 are the only photos which appear to show completion, but this is not the kitchen for this home. It is either a stock photo or someone else's house being used falsely. 6. The master bath remains completely unfinished as the company has not returned to the site. This company has been terminated due to months of excuses and lies, poor workmanship, unprofessionalism, and inability to meet deadlines in spite of numerous extensions granted based on falsehoods. They accepted payment for materials that were never purchased and work that was not completed. Our $30,000 budget turned into nearly $80,000 due to "emergency repairs" reported by the contractor. We made every attempt to resolve with this company, but we have been and lied to long enough. I thought that being a "Premier Contractor" through Houzz would ensure that I would deal with a reputable business. I could not have been more wrong. This was to be our dream home after 20+ years of military service, and Apex Construction has turned the dream into a nightmare.

After weeks of looking and getting quotes through other professionals we settled with Corey and his team. Corey laid out the plan and the timeline. Everything came together with zero issues. They gutted my entire kitchen and installed brand new modern cabinets, quartz counter tops, and some contemporary lighting. They even managed to figure out a way to get a kitchen island installed even though I didn't originally have the space. I rarely ever leave reviews but I am so pleased with their work I had to make sure to let others know. I will definitely work with these guys again.

I had an outdoor pond done by a different company that wasn't installed correctly. Apex completely redid the pond and then did an amazing job of creating an outdoor Oasis. Replaced and increased our sitting area, installed lighting and created a space for the BBQ pit built by my grandfather during WWII. My oasis is now my sanctuary.
