Baird Snyder Inc

Baird Snyder Inc. is a builder of custom houses, additions and renovations. Baird is a 1983 University of Virginia graduate and has lived in Charlottesville or Albemarle County ever since. He began his building career immediately after graduation and started his company in 1990. A good custom builder must do much more than simply build. The first step is to establish expectations, and then fulfill and exceed them. This requires getting to know customers, understanding their sense of design as well as the unique challenges of every project. Building is a complicated process involving hundreds of decisions that affect budget, design and schedule. These decisions require input from the customer, the builder, his subcontractors and material suppliers, as well as the architect or designer. Many of the projects built by Baird Snyder Inc. over the years include architects, with varying degrees of involvement. Other projects begin with photographs or simple sketches, along with a customer’s vision for a house’s design. As the projects on this site will demonstrate, Baird brings his own design sense, drawing on years of experience, to help his customers realize their vision in every detail of their new house or project.
