“Work done: Replaced floors in entire house. Repaired walls and framing and painted entire house. Did demo and helped remove old furniture, then helped return everything. Justin gave appropriate suggestions for repair, replacement, painting, decorating, etc. Justin and his crew, specifically John and Caleb were wonderful to work with. They were respectful and went out of their way to accommodate us. Justin has great knowledge about what needed to be done and spent a lot of time going over everything with us. He found issues we did not know were there and still kept everything within our budget. We had to live in the house while the construction was being done and Halcyon accommodated us every step of the way making sure we were as comfortable as possible. Justin helped us tremendously with decision options and consistently guided us in the good direction. We are still a work in progress and I highly recommend Halcyon.”

“We interviewed several builders last year when we set out to expand our home at Lake Anna. Before we found Battlefield Homes, we had not found any that met our standards. By standards, I mean professionalism, responsiveness, communication, and timeliness – in addition to good quality workmanship. We had received some cost estimates from other builders that were either astronomical or suspiciously low. We had started to wonder if any of them could be trusted. From the very beginning, our instincts told us that we could entrust Allen Harrison and his team at Battlefield with this project which was near and dear to our hearts . That decision has proved to be the best decision we could have made. Battlefield Construction is professionalism at all levels. Ours was a complex project because it was a renovation, and the original home had several construction issues that needed to be addressed. We were made aware of the potential challenges before construction began, and as the project was carried out, we were always kept up to date. We were able to adjust the project to keep costs down, while still getting the results we wanted. Allen and the team helped us to make informed decisions so we didn’t feel like we were compromising on quality or functionality. We have now been enjoying our newly remodeled lake house for 4 months. This renovation has far exceeded our expectations of what we initially hoped for. “Vailes has done two major projects for us. In 2018 we had a new heat pump installed and had a screened in porch built. In both cases Vailes was very professional and did an excellent job. Our new heat pump works very well and keeps the house comfortable year around. The screened in porch is beautiful It was built using ipe wood and cat-proof screen. We and the cats enjoy it.”
