John Eland and Iron Forest Building Company are fantastic! John is an expert on the design, permitting and building process and was able to clearly articulate the process to my wife and me. John has an incredible sense of ‘function’ and ‘style’, meaning that his creations are highly functional and absolutely beautiful. We were on a tight budget and a few times during the design phase John highlighted something the architect had drawn and say, ‘If I build it this way it will cost 20% less and look just as good or better’. Every time it turned out better! In the end our new mountain home far exceeded our expectations and is a dream come true for my family! Adam Garvert was the lead foreman on our home and he is equally as great. Not only are John and Adam incredible builders, they are also honest, kind and all around great people! Five stars. Highly recommend!

We hired John Eland and his crew to help us with our restoration of our home in Dillon, CO. John is the kind of general contractor that everyone would love to have. He is knowledgeable, responsible and patient. We were pleased with the quality of work his crew has done and how helpful he was through the whole process of the restoration project. John Eland was the project manager on our (7,000 sq.ft.) house construction in 2010 thru 2011. He was very easy to work with, very competent and professional. It was in the middle of the down-turn and we got some good prices, but we also suffered delays due to suppliers not having supplies. Now I realize how hard it is to find and keep good tradespeople in the mountains I realize what a sterling job John did, chasing up people and supplies to keep the project on schedule. I definitely recommend him and would be very happy to use him again if we took on another big project.

Iron Forest completed our Breckenridge condo remodel. We went all the way down to the studs. John was fantastic to work with. He was very thorough in his estimates and accurate with his timelines.
