Sunergy helped me move into my new home. They oversaw and completed a zillion little things like patching a leaky pipe, repairing a sag in the roof, and fixing a few wiring issues, as well as getting the whole foundation replaced. They were very friendly, explained the work well, got it done quick, and did a great job.

Adam Stepan at Sunergy Builders saved my home. I bought it as a fixer-upper a year and a half before I met Adam. I had hired a contractor who was a disaster. He had demo'd the house to its shell, in preparation for a complete rebuild. But the demo was as far as he got. By the time I met Adam, my house was uninhabitable, with everything stripped out of it except the framing and the siding. Adam had a vision. He said he could not only work within my remaining budget to totally renovate the house, he could get a 5-Star Green Energy Rating and enter my house on the Austin Cool House tour, which he did. A tremendous achievement. He rebuilt the house literally from the foundation to the roof--both were replaced. He installed all new, high-energy-efficient systems, including electrical, HVAC, and plumbing. He built and installed everything else, including new windows, doors, plumbing and electrical fixtures, flooring, woodwork, trim, cabinetry, drywall, tape, texture and paint inside and out. He used superb space planning that reorganized the existing 1,575-square-foot-print into an open floor plan with dramatically raised ceilings and a remarkable sense of spaciousness. He reoriented the kitchen-dining-living room area to permanent views of nature and the city skyline, taking full advantage of its citing on a corner lot, while the bedrooms were tucked discretely away for maximum comfort and privacy. His energy-efficiency reduced my electricity bill to less than $100 a month at the height of summer. That's amazing. All throughout the process. He approached my project as a business, not a shell game. He was truthful, accessible, and accountable. He answered his phone and returned my emails and texts. He hung in there during some tough challenges, and came up with solutions—oftentimes ingenious ones. I quickly learned that I could count on Adam, and I have relied on him ever since. I owe him and his crew a huge debt of gratitude.

Sunergy recently completed an extensive addition to our house by adding on a true master bedroom and bath. Adam, at Sunergy is extremely knowledgeable and was very helpful with the initial planning. They put in a structural beam to open up the bedroom and added a great deck to the back of the house. We also included a Nanawall off the back of the kitchen which turned out great aesthetically. Adam worked hard to ensure the project was completed to our exacting standards and on budget. We are very pleased with our new rooms. Adam is a pleasure to work with....which makes a potentially stressful project a good experience. If we ever move or consider a home project of any size, we would definitely use Sunergy again.
