Jerry and his sons built my husband's last home approximately 20 years ago. He had a great experience with them and incredible quality of work. So when we decided to build a new Victorian house, we again chose Jerry and Barratt Builders. Jerry and his sons are honest, trustworthy and incredibly talented Craftsmen. They will not settle for anything less than perfection. In addition to being a builder, Jerry is a finish carpenter by trade. He has taught his craft to his sons and they are all masters at their workmanship. Of course, as with any project where you have to line up talented subcontractors who are also Craftsmen, you may have to wait for their schedules to open up. And in our case, we were also delayed by unforseen circumstances like having to "root rake" the ground under the home and additional time and expenses caused by the demands of building inspectors. Jerry was flexible and willing to collaborate with us on changes, enhancements and in-progress upgrades that vastly improved the end results. So our home was not completed on schedule, but we were more than willing to be flexible to achieve a better result... and unlike many builders, Jerry was, too. Let me say again... THE WORKMANSHIP AND CRAFTSMANSHIP IN THIS HOUSE IS INCREDIBLE!!! Our intention was to build a new house that looked like an old house, inside and out, and many people who come here for the first time are shocked to learn it's NOT a renovated old house. Jerry Barratt built our 3,000 sq ft custom home in 2006. We have been overall very pleased with the workmanship of our home. Any unexpected issues during the process (there will always be unexpected issues) were readily resolved. We have used Jerry to remodel our rental property and have recommended him to our friends and family. He beautifully remodeled our in-law's bathroom as well as placed a new roof on our rental property. We are considering relocating and building a new home and would not hesitate to use Barratt Builders again.

I wanted to do a major renovation and addition to my house, since I had worked in the construction trade myself when I was younger I knew that it was going to be hard to find someone to do the project the way I would do it myself, but then I met Jerry Barratt of Barratt Builders. At the time we met he was working on a custom home for another client and they were just about to completion, After seeing the job that he and his team did on that home and checking with former clients I knew that he was the right person for the job. Jerry Barratt did a fantastic job on my remodeling project, starting with the plans he went through them so carefully and thought of every detail, then he started to work on the project and explained each phase step by step. He handled all of the sub contractors and made them do the job right, he even called one of them back to redo something that he thought was not perfect. His crew did a great job and really paid attention to all the little details. His team was so careful to make sure they did not impact my family during the whole process, they always kept the area clean. He did such a good job that I was able to almost double the size of my home and my monthly electric bill has not gone up. I have been enjoying my new addition for several months now, and it is better than I could have imagined. If you really want someone that will do the job right and then stand behind his work 100% then you can not select a better team than Barratt Builders.

Jerry Barratt of Barratt Builders built my home in 1996. The craftsmanship was of extremely high quality and I have been very satisfied with my home. Jerry is very honest and his integrity, in my 20 year history with him, is beyond reproach. In 2012 I hired him again to build a small cottage attached to my home for my mother to live in. The project was started and completed on time and the quality was exceptional. I had checked with several other options and Barratt Builders was the best value. Barratt remodeled my house. from the first few months, the roof has leaked and three years later all I get is the run around. Tonight the bathroom plumbing started to leak. When I have called him to fix a problem, I am lucky if he shows up after I have called multiple times. I am constantly flipping breaker switches because of faulty electrical work. Getting him to fix these problems is impossible. UPDATE: Today one of the fluorescent bulbs in the kitchen burned out and to replace it, I have to remove the entire custom light box to replace the bulb. I called him to ask how to replace the bulb, but as usual no reply to my call. He was there when I was writing him a check during the remodel but now that it is complete he has disappeared and ignores my calls.
