Hudson Wren Portraits

The photography experience was great at the time, however there was a catch that I was not aware of. I was not aware that you would not be getting a digital copy of the print even after purchase (for $300 a print). Had I known that I would not be getting non-watermarked digital prints, I would not have gone in for the photoshoot at all. As a customer, I expect that if I am paying for a print that I should get a clean digital copy to share. For this reason, I cannot recommend this photography experience to friends and family.

Tamara has been our family photographer for a number of years, capturing milestones, memories and our precious grandchildren, including their little “characters” as she has followed our children and grand children from birth to teenagers. She has the ability to capture not only a classic, timeless photo, but a portrait that truly mirrors personalities. Tamara helps her subjects relax, loves to work with children, even at their struggling moments, and loves to engage them! As a photographer, Tamara will create and capture your memories as she has with ours, she pays attention to detail, is very knowledgeable in her craft and is committed to her clients in creating memories. You will never regret your choice to honour and collect those precious memories. We found Tamara very professional, knowledgeable and her work amazing. She strives to meet all commitments and can be counted on. Our families grow so quickly and our time is precious, you owe it to yourself to capture those special moments!

Tamara has done photos for us on a few occasions; her work is incredible. She captures moments that are so genuine and natural that you didn't even realize were happening during the shoot. I am so grateful for her and her work because I now have these beautiful photographs I will cherish for ever. Thank you SO MUCH, you are truly gifted.

I have worked with Tamara multiple times for personal and professional reasons. The quality of not only her materials used but the actual shooting experience is like no other. My entire family and myself felt so comfortable and really enjoyed our time. Tamara photographed my family when we found out my Dad was terminally ill and we didn't have much time. She fit us into her busy schedule without hesitation and made my entire family have fun and enjoy the shoot even in a sad time. The photos she took, I could never put value to. They are some of the last moments with our Dad and I will be forever grateful for having Tamara there. The photographs are truly a gift. She has a heart of gold and it shines through with each shot she takes. We highly recommend Hudson Wren to all of our families and friends. We cannot wait to have her custom portraits fill our walls again.

We lost our beloved home in a fire a year ago and are in the process of rebuilding with a custom builder. Before the fire, the first thing that you saw when you walked through our doors were the canvases of our 3 kids that Tamara had done for us. Upstairs, there was a huge gallery wall filled with more of Tamara's portraits that spanned half the length of the whole floor. Everything about that house reflected who we are and what's important to us as a family. The idea of starting from scratch in a sterile new build lacking history or character was deeply saddening for our family, and we had a very difficult time getting over our loss and imagining how on earth we could ever have a house that felt like home again. Luckily, we met a great architect who listened to our needs and made sure that the new house was, quite literally, built around adequate wall space for us to hang more of Tamara's portraits. Starting from scratch leaves one the unique opportunity to decide what matters most to them, process what loss was the hardest felt, and weigh what things were the most valuable and sorely missed. It gives you perspective and gratitude. I can say without hesitation that both the experience of shooting with Tamara and the end result of quality canvases on display are things I both treasured and appreciated, and ones that I do not hesitate to have again. None of us are comfortable in front of the camera, and we certainly made Tamara work for those shots though she didn't let on that we were at all as impossible as I'm sure we were. She is both professional and laid back, charming and focused. Nothing about our pictures taken with Tamara are ever posed or artificial. With Tamara behind the camera, we all manage to let our guards down and be ourselves, almost forgetting that she's even there sometimes. I'll be booking with Tamara again soon, and can't wait to have her custom portraits make our new house into a home again.
