We had the wonderful experience of working with Alicja Crosby in 2015. Our home is a 1965 colonial and at the time of purchase — it’s design and layout was still in 1965! The home was slated to undergo a 4-month, full remodel with a contractor — Alicja Crosby was recommended as a designer for the project as she would add the personal touches the home would require to have that ‘pop’. As inexperienced, first-time home buyers, we initially thought having a contractor and designer were overkill, but it was the best decision. After an initial meeting to discuss our ideas which probably just rounded up to desiring something ‘really nice’, she was able to help us envision a design. Alicja coordinated with the contractor et al and kept us in the communication loop so there were no surprises. The low voltage electrical system was replaced, outdated bathrooms were refitted, the kitchen was gutted down to the studs, and old walls and drop ceilings were removed to recapture space and bring in light. Alicja guided us through the entire process of selecting paint colors and textures which segued from one room to the next, helped us decide on light fixtures which fit the style of the home, as well as advising on cabinetry and finishes that brought it all together. When we had difficulty making decisions, Alicja would take lead and make a recommendation based on her eye and experience. When the project was completed — it was stunning and exactly what we had envisioned!

Alicja has decorated most of the rooms in our home and we could not have been happier with how everything turned out! Alicja is professional, asks us what our preferences are, offers her own thoughts on design and always provides options that are within our budget and taste. She has done so much work in our home, some large scale projects and some simple "room refreshers" and again, we could not be happier with everything she has done. Alicja's rates are very fair and competitive, she is VERY easy (and wonderful) to work with and we HIGHLY recommend her to anyone looking for assistance in decorating their home!
