Christine Freeman, a native of Lansing, Michigan, is a graduate of Michigan State University, where she pursued studies that bridged her passions for design, art history, and music. Her diverse background includes hands-on experiences in spinning, weaving, pottery, welding, and painting—each of which informs and enriches her design approach. These varied skills reflect her deep appreciation for craftsmanship, vintage treasures, and compelling works of art. In 1988, Christine embarked on her creative professional journey by founding CA Concepts, a company dedicated to bringing her artistic vision to life. The name "CA Concepts" embodies her philosophy: "ca" for Christine Ann, a nod to her personal touch; "concepts" as the spark for abstract ideas, inventions, and thoughtful plans; and the organic process of growth and refinement that culminates in "good design." Starting a new project can often feel overwhelming, but Christine’s expertise offers clarity. By working with a professional like her, clients can navigate the complexities of design and make informed decisions on where to allocate their resources. Above all, she values the balance between practical functionality and the creation of a truly custom home, tailored to each of her client’s needs.

We had been in the planning process for over 2 years and were lost in all the different possibilities for our renovation until we walked in Klingsman's in Holland and found Chris. She saved us so much money and time by pointing us in the right direction on colors, sizes, materials, etc. We are so excited to see the final project come to fruition.

Chris Freeman worked with us on every step in the process of a new build. Chris took the time to really listen and get to know our family and our needs for our home. She isn't just creative, she thinks outside the box, and understands the importance of details. Our house is uniquely us and has been well lived in as intended. Chris knows the process, is patient, respectful and most importantly she is honest. No two projects look the same, every client is unique and so is the finished project. That is the sign of a great designer, nothing cookie cutter. She is organized, professional, and efficient. Someday we will downsize and I look forward to going through the process of a remodel or new build again with Chris.

We have built two homes with Chris and also worked with her on a major addition and I can honestly say anyone who does not believe they could absolutely LOVE their home has never worked with Chris Freeman! Chris worked with us for months on how we function before the projects even started. We have three children so we often function with chaos but Chris created environments that allow for organization and comfort. She worked within our budget but the quality and beauty cannot even be described adequately with words. People come into our home in awe of the detail but the absolute best compliment that we consistently receive is that our home feels more like a home than any other place they have ever been. If you would like a one of a kind place to live, we highly recommend you hire Chris as she is most definitely one of a kind! You will live in a beautiful, unique work of art that feels comfortable, organized, and you will always look forward to coming HOME!!!
