Mary Sorenson came highly recommended by a friend, and upon meeting her, I immediately understood why! She is a great listener, has an upbeat personality, and is full of wonderful ideas to fit with what I'm wanting. She put together a perfect ensemble of selections for our kitchen, which I never would have thought of putting together on my own, but absolutely love! Mary has never once tried to push me, or even nudge me, into spending more than our budget. Being able to pay for her expertise by the hour has worked out very well, and her professional advice has been worth every penny! I've also appreciated that I've always been able to get appointments to fit my schedule, without a long wait. She's even working on our project now, during the COVID-19 shut down, and communicating electronically. There are many, many samples of flooring, wallpaper, window treatments, etc. right there in house. However, I didn't need to look through much, because Mary found the perfect choices for me quickly. There are also decor items, lamps, and furniture for sale in the large, two-story facility, of a wide variety. I fell in love with a couple of things that I saw there, however I was never once urged to buy anything (but did!). I have appreciated the low pressure approach, all around. That had been my biggest fear of using a decorator, because I've felt too much pressure from others before. Not here. Mary is serving as our contractor for completely redecorating our home. It's been a one-stop, do it all set-up. Planning the design to our specifications, handling the ordering of materials, and managing the sub-contractors. My first design experience with Mary was over 20 years ago. She has helped me a few times through the years with projects big and small. I have always been impressed with her creative ideas and the quality of products she recommends. She is a caring person and a pleasure to work with. They were very easy to work with our builder recommended them. They spent time with us and we are not always that easy to deal with lol. However, all of our needs were met and our house is beautiful.
