I moved from Salisbury, NC to Raleigh, NC in 2011 and began working in billing for a telecommunications company. Over time I was encouraged by my husband to go back to school for something I was passionate about and so I enrolled at Meredith College in their Interior Design program and graduated in 2016. Since then, I've worked for home builders on the more technical side of the design process and then more recently for a model homes design firm. I love creating and helping others materialize their design goals. A substantial amount of focus is committed to understanding my clients' interests, hobbies, and daily routines in addition to the obvious questionnaires you engage in when you begin the design process. I find open communication and follow up to be a major tool for success in design and so I put a lot of emphasis on that in each project. My company is named after my son, Dylan. I have found a lot of inspiration and courage since becoming a mom; I also have a new found appreciation of what commitment means. My design company gives me the freedom to nurture my passion for design and helping people as well as affording me the independence to be the mother I would like to be.
