Utilizing existing furnishings where possible is important to me." JRDG, LLC grew from a lifelong love of design. Julia Rudin, principle designer in the firm, decided to return to school to study Interior Design after many years as an attorney, volunteer and mother. Still mothering and volunteering, of course, Julia now enjoys helping clients create beautiful, comfortable homes where their families can flourish. Julia strives to learn the tastes and preferences of each client, while steering them toward stretching their design wings. Comfort and functionality are paramount in an effort to design spaces that reflect the clients' interests, collections and aspirations. Julia practices budget conscious efforts such as, mixing items that clients already own with new pieces, thus retaining a sense of history and continuity while adding excitement and beauty. Staying conscious of budget is of the upmost importance. From the beginning of the project it is important to set forth clear guidelines about designer's duties, goals and compensation and I am always ready to discuss and clarify any issues that arise. Primarily working in West Houston - including Galveston, Tanglewood, Memorial and Spring Branch, JRDG is always open to adding comfortable design to new areas of Texas.
