As an award winning designer, Lauren’s passion is what drives her to create modern, sophisticated, and timeless interiors for her clients. Lauren’s approach to design involves working closely with her clients to understand their functional requirements, aesthetic desires, and individual personalities. Ultimately, Lauren’s goal is to give each client a thoughtfully tailored design to call their own. With a BFA in Interior Design from The George Washington University, over 13 years of experience in design, and experience in multiple design fields, Lauren is able to take on a variety of different projects. Lauren's design experience includes Residential Design, Model Home Design, Hospitality Design, Kitchen, Bathroom, and full home remodels, custom window treatment and bedding design, and so much more. Some of her clients include "The Cakeroom Bakery" in DC, several professional athletes, and embassies in DC. Lauren is ready to take on any project, no matter how large or small!

I worked with Lauren for roughly a year to refresh my living room, bed room, and office. I came to her with a list of pieces that I wanted to purchase and showed her photos of items that I already owned. She quickly understood my style, and suggested fabrics and wood finishes that paired perfectly with my existing items. As a consumer, I place customer service and quality at the top of the list of factors that go into whether I spend my money at a particular store. I found Lauren to be very customer service focused. She was always polite, responsive to my emails and phone calls, sent thank you notes in the mail, and immediately addressed any concerns I had. For example, there was an issue with a piece after delivery, and she immediately took action to make the situation right. I highly recommend Lauren as a designer. She has a great talent for understanding a customer’s style, and she also shows that your business is appreciated. I will definitely reach out to her when I am in the market again for new furniture.

Lauren was a true delight to work with as she listened to our ideas/vision for redecorating our family room and first floor. With her exceptional design expertise as well as years of client experience she confidently guided us through the design process. She was able to weave together our ideas with up-to- date decorating trends to complete a fresh new look while maintaining our design aesthetic. We appreciated that she gave us honest feedback when we were straying in the wrong direction and helped us make the right decisions to meet our goals for the rooms. She patiently answered our many questions and never made us feel rushed to make decisions. Overall, she made a potentially stressful project a lot of fun to do!

It was great working with Lauren. She came to the house and took exact measurements of the space. We knew we wanted to update and refresh the entire look of the family room and not just replace existing pieces with more of the same. She did a great job of providing a range of options for us to consider. With her help, we selected furniture pieces, fabrics, textures and colors that came together in ways that we would not have been able to achieve on our own. She was even able to input these choices into design software that showed placement options and layouts that included our existing paint and carpet colors. I highly recommend Lauren. We enjoyed the process from start to finish and hope that she is available for our future projects.

Lauren is super helpful! Working with Lauren was very easy. She was great with our colors and helped with textures on the fabrics. We LOVE our furniture which is a credit to her eye and style, she knew exactly our color schema and matched it perfectly. The customer service was excellent throughout the process.

Lauren Racowsky helped us select the furniture for our new screened in porch and did an amazing job! She took into account the spaces we already had in our home so there was some type of "design flow," but also understood our desire to have a fun "new" space and listened to our thoughts on how we envisioned using that space before selecting pieces. She is easy to talk to and provided honest feedback, all of which we truly appreciated. We could not be happier with the color choices, products, and design advice Lauren provided and look forward to using her for future design jobs.

Lauren did a great job in helping me update our family room. I asked her to work with a few pieces that I already had and wanted to keep due to budget constraints. Rather than suggesting other alternatives, as some other designers had, she chose some beautiful pieces which coordinated well with and brought out the best in the existing decor. The resulting design looks beautiful and cohesive. I would hire her again in a heartbeat.
