Laurie Mattson founded Laurie Mattson Interiors in 2007, transforming rooms from plain and ordinary to jaw-dropping and extraordinary masterpieces. Laurie is a national multi-award-winning interior designer and luxury home stager whose expertise is evident in every space she creates. And although winning awards is incredible, nothing beats watching her clients’ happy faces after transforming their homes. Laurie and her team tailor each room specifically to the client’s style and needs from conception through completion. The LMI team is based in Minnesota’s Twin Cities area and works on projects throughout the nation. Laurie recently staged our home prior to putting it on the market. Her expertise and guidance with everything from her initial Top Ten Impact List to photo day was very much appreciated. Not only did Laurie make our home look amazing for our professional interior photos, she gave us the tools and knowledge of how to prepare our home on our own for the showings. We received many compliments on the décor and design of our home starting with the photographer who did not need to change a thing - Laurie had the house perfectly staged for the photos! There is no doubt that Laurie’s staging played a significant role in us receiving an offer within ten days. We have enjoyed our updated home and are fortunate that many items from Laurie’s designs will work in our next home as well. We were grateful for her kindness and willingness to help throughout the process as well as for the much-needed color that Laurie’s designs brought into our home! Thank you, Laurie!

Laurie Mattson Hi Laurie- I hope all is well with you and your family-and that you currently have projects that you are enjoying. I just wanted to write and thank you again for all the wonderful design choices you made for our home. We absolutely love it all. Al and I have recently been attempting to practice our golf skills regularly - and those chairs are so perfect for the golf simulator - and easily moved when we need additional seating in any other room. I hosted a baby shower yesterday for a (much younger) friend - and everyone raved about all the art and furniture. I always mention you as the amazing designer who helped us. We continue to be grateful for having met you for your talent with design and for the ease with which you helped us make decisions. We have been working with Laurie for over 10 years on multiple large projects, including creating the interior design for our whole house. She continues to amaze me at how easily she can bring the vision to life. Laurie is patient and works collaboratively, while quickly creating a vision that worked for both me and my husband, as we started with very different ideas. During the process, Laurie made it easy and convenient for us while we were busy working and traveling. She created spaces for us that are comfortable and usable, colorful and beautiful, and we live surrounded by things that we love!

We have had a wonderful experience working with Laurie. The entire process was a delight. Starting with initial meetings and discussing our vision for our new home - Laurie understood what we wanted and worked to give us options to choose. She suggested refurbishing a dining set that was special to us - and it turned out beautifully and is even more of a treasure. Laurie truly has a talent for design - and we feel very lucky to live in the spaces she created - from stylish and comfortable furniture to gorgeous pieces of art to decorative pillows and bedding- she found the perfect fit for each room. We enjoyed the entire journey of furnishing our house with Laurie -and now feel lucky to know her and look forward to working with her again.

Laurie Mattson went above and beyond in helping us stage a large house and getting it ready to sell. It was an incredible transformation that brought us 3 offers in just a few days. We moved from out of state and wanted to personalize our home and get it updated. We saw Laurie's awesome work at some model homes that we visited. She came out to our home and gave us some great ideas on updating our entire first floor. She listened to what was important to us and knew the right questions to ask to help us figure out our own style and the direction we should go. We have already painted and have started making some of the updates she has suggested. We love the way our house is starting to look! We would highly recommend using Laurie. We have already had friends visit and ask for Laurie's contact information, since they liked her work at our home. We are planning to have her come back for future projects!
