During the past two years, Brandon has done a number of projects for us, including a complete overhaul of our master bathroom, removal and rebuild of our deck, and an overhaul of our half bathroom, as well as some smaller projects. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Brandon to anyone for any project. His craftsmanship is outstanding and his attention to detail is beyond compare. He approaches each project as if he were working on his own home. He strives for perfection and stands behind the quality of his work. He is also extremely responsive throughout all aspects of the project. In an age when it is often so difficult to get people to respond to requests or stay true to their commitments, Brandon operates with a level of responsiveness and diligence that truly sets him apart. Brandon and his father, Ed, who often helps with the construction projects, are fundamentally good people, who give you a sense of comfort and confidence as they work in your home. It was a pleasure to see them each day. We were truly lucky to have found Brandon and are already planning future projects with him.

Brandon completely remodeled our entire house. He started by totally gutting the house down to the studs and remodeled the entire house in our aggressive 6 month timeline, he completed the project early and within our budget! We provided a floorplan and a vision of what we wanted and he made our dream come true. Brandon kept us informed each step of the way thru the entire construction process and remained on the job, completing the majority of the work and kept the subcontractors moving to his stride. In today’s world with all the contractor horror stories, trust is tough to find, I would highly recommend Scherling Contracting Group for all areas of construction, with over and above quality and knowledge.

We had our entire first floor (living room, dining room, office and kitchen/pantry) redone while also living on the premise with our children and pets. This was our first time using a general contractor but I can't imagine finding a better one. Brandon shows up when he says he will; does what he says he will and finishes everything on time. He welcomes open communication throughout the entire process and listens and responds accordingly. His workmanship, along with his subcontractor's is top-notch. The professionalism and expertise we experienced with everyone that entered our home was above and beyond what we could have hoped. He is also great with changes / additions on the fly. We would not hesitate to use his services again or recommend him to someone else.

We feel really fortunate to have found Brandon Scherling. From the first consultation, I knew his was the company that I wanted to hire. He showed respect for my vision, operated in a way that showed concern for the stress that construction puts a family under, and uses great professionals who specialize in electrical, plumbing, painting, dry-wall refinishing, and masonry. He worked with me throughout the process, to implement designs that were important to me, but unusual for many Pittsburgh homes. But he also gave practical suggestions, which I respected. I had specific things that were important to me, from my unique ceiling lighting, unique bathroom layout, teak shower floor, and huge porcelain wall tiles. I loved it when he said without hesitation: “We can do that.” And they did. I never felt pressured in anyway, to either change what I wanted, or to do something I didn’t like. And when I was starting to question my idea of a granite waterfall island in the kitchen, I’m glad he encouraged me to stick with my vision… because I love it. Brandon and Ed are truly skilled at what they do. And how he arranges the payments & deposits through the project is really considerate also.

Brandon Scherling did an excellent job on putting drywall over our existing paneling. They painted and cleaned up so nicely. We went on vacation and came home to the finished job. That is the way to do a remodel. I was impressed with the way he finished off the window sills and they also put up a tv mount on the wall and ran new sockets for the plugs. Brandon and team did an absolutely beautiful job on our kid's bathroom. The work was impeccable, they stayed within the timeline, they showed up every single day and Brandon effortlessly walked us through the entire process. By the end of the project he was like family. We couldn't have asked for a better contractor.

Scherling Contracting did a wonderful job totally gutting my bathroom and building a beautiful new one. Brandon was very knowledgeable, helpful and available when I had any question at all. He gave me a “shopping list” with suggestions of reputable vendors. He completed the work in the time frame he quoted and the disruption in my home was kept at a minimum. Scherling Contracting group completed two projects for me that included installing a back splash in my kitchen and constructing a powder room in my lower level. The back splash came out better than I ever expected. The powder room included drywalling, installation of the toilet, sink, fixtures and ceiling fan. They also painted the room, tiled the floor, hung the door and installed the baseboards. Both projects were completed in the timeframe given, two weeks! The estimated cost of these two projects were completed within budget. I definitely would use them again.

After 50 years and many house remodeling experiences, Brandon Scherling is without doubt the best I have ever had. He listens to what you want, makes as many (or as few) suggestions as you want, pays attention to costs and is personally engaging. Best of all, he comes every day, on time, and if he can't make it, he calls to let you know why. He generally prefers to work 6 hours per day: 9 to 3 or 4, but in that time he gets as much done as most contractors in 8 or more. His subcontractors all have worked with him for some time and all work together well. Most important, they do a great job, paying attention to the small details and the large ones. I recommend him without question. Our project was a total kitchen remodel, including floor, walls, electrical, plumbing, drywall, paint, appliances, demolition of old kitchen. Price was reasonable: not the lowest, but also not the highest. He did not start the project until all supplies were available and on site, so once begun, he worked continuously until finishing 6 weeks later.
