“We purchased a home to downsize to and it was a total remodel. We consulted with HR Construction and Design when we knew this was over our heads. I knew the layout I wanted and that work was completed but when Kyle seen me struggling with discussions he took me shopping for tile, cabinets, counter tops etc,.He explained differences in products and cost's which was so helpful, I was able to decide almost instantly. Our home was built in 1979 and when friends come over they always comment how it looks just like a brand new built home! “Rob Yrineo remodeled our bathroom. We had him remove a wall to open it up. He had plumbing and electrical work done, and there were no issues there. There were two different ceiling heights after we removed the wall, and we couldn't raise the ceiling because of the duct work and electrical. We wanted a smooth transition from one height to the next so that we didn't have to lower the whole ceiling. It was a really awkward space, and he came up with a design that looked like it was meant to be built that way. He helped us along the way by offering multiple suggestions to choose from for different situations and helped us envision different scenarios. He kept us apprised of anything that came up along the way (such as the need to shift the niches in our shower due to plumbing positioning behind the wall). If there was something I didn't understand, he was really good at explaining it. He was on such a role, we asked him to upgrade our closet too. The way he did the layout in our tight space was so efficient that it relieved us from having to buy another dresser. We actually have extra shelves. It was such a relief to have him do our job because he went with the flow if design changes needed to be made, and he always offered great professional advice and expertise. That was key given this was my first major remodel.”

“We were really fortunate to work with Paula and Marius in the spring of 2017, when we were finally in a position to renovate our extremely dated and not very user-friendly kitchen. Although we had already settled on an overall design, and had some decently solid ideas regarding which IKEA products we wanted, we very much benefitted from Paula's excellent design know-how and helpful ideas for issues we'd yet to resolve, and really appreciated Marius' confirmation that our ideas on paper would work in reality! They truly couldn't have been more helpful, and worked quickly, efficiently, and with the minimum of mess to ensure that our renovation could be completed over the course of one week, which greatly minimized any disruption to our lives. They also knew the best places to source quality countertops, and saved us from a potential multi-week wait for countertops from IKEA. We also appreciated Marius' keen attention to detail, and how he wanted everything to be finished to the highest standard - even ensuring that the holes drilled in our cabinet to accommodate plumbing for the kitchen sink were beautifully finished, despite the fact that they'd almost never be in view. They found great ways to deal with tricky fittings (like getting our range vent to work with our low ceiling), and even figured out a way to turn otherwise wasted space into a perfect shelving system to house our ever-expanding collection of cookbooks. Five years later, and new visitors still ask us if the kitchen is new and who did the renovation! We're really sorry that Paula and Marius are no longer in our area, as they are the first people we thought of as we contemplate our next round of home renovations.
