“From our first meeting with Tom Kusmerz, The Barn Nursery, we were sold on working with that company and looked no further. Through conversation and walking around on our property, Tom was able to create a hardscape design concept that we just loved. Our retaining wall was failing and we needed to redesign the whole thing. With his help we chose natural stone that blended well with our existing house brick and pool decking and gave us both the color and natural look we were after. Tom worked with our pool and concrete contractors so everything on our project was done in the right order and no one had to wait on someone else. With Tom's design on our retaining wall and how the base materials were installed, we were able to reduce the costs of our concrete decking repair by half of the original bid and we have a beautiful, natural looking retaining wall that will last forever. The crews working on our project from The Barn Nursery were great. I looked forward to their arrival every morning. They were neat, efficient, friendly and very hard working. “Crimson Valley Landscaping did a extensive landscaping job on our backyard last summer. They worked on the pool entry area and the area that curves around our home. They also laid down river rocks in our planters and put down stepping stones across the yard. The entire crew was very professional, accommodating and efficient. Although, Joel and Dawn really stood out to me. Joel was able to transplant beautiful roses and added flowers to the area around our mailbox that pleasantly surprised us. Dawn worked with us on the design and functionality of our space. She was extremely accommodating and gave wonderful suggestions. In fact, there were times that I would send her pictures of designs and flowers I didn't even know the name of and she figured out how we can incorporate them into the design! She had no problem changing our orders after they had been placed and still managed to get the work done on time. I could tell she genuinely cared for us and wanted us to have the best possible experience. After the work was finished Dawn came back to check out how the space was holding up. She noticed that our roses were wilting a bit, and went out and pruned them for us! She even gave me instructions on how to maintain them over the winter! “I have really enjoyed working with Karl! He did a comprehensive patio and landscaping design for our backyard. His designs included a 600 s.f. paver patio with seating walls, a pergola, dry creek beds, and an enclosed sun porch. Karl was also able to address several major drainage issues in our yard in his design. He was very patient with us throughout the design process, as we took quite a while to mull over decisions and had several revision requests. Once we started phase 1 of construction, he was on site to make sure all went as planned. He was responsive and communicative throughout the process.
