BACQYARD | Landscape Design

We had the worst experience with Bacqyard. They just want your money, then overpromise and under deliver. We paid for the top of the line package that promises expedited turnovers and unlimited revisions for 30 days... well the turnovers were more like 3 weeks, so good luck getting a revision done. The designer then is impossible to get ahold of , and once you email or try to contact them to meet (again good luck with that!), the revision looks like it was outsourced to some other person who was not the designer... There was no sense of creativity or insight provided by these 'top designers' like we had hoped. Every form of communication left us further from the desired result of the project. It almost seemed intentional they way they would avoid having a call or responding to an email, just to have any minor change or revision become utterly distorted and just slapped together as some sort of appeasement rather than a design process... even when they finally delivered the WRONG CAD plans, even those plans were dosed with errors (from labeling, to wrong plant species labeled, etc.). Oh yeah, and throughout the process the designer was constantly throwing excuses like "sorry your message went to spam" or "sorry I lost all my notes because my computer crashed" etc. etc. All in all, not only do I even have the correct CAD that I asked for, I still don't even have a usable design for our house. Please be weary of this service.

The backyard they designed for us was a work of art. For anyone that is interested in upgrading their backyard they should speak to these guys. The price was reasonable but the quality of work was worldclass.

I am thrilled with the transformation of my back yard thanks to Isabella and bacqyard! Isabella was a pleasure to work with - she listened to my ideas and preferences, and came up with a design that exceeded my expectations. She was also very communicative and responsive throughout the entire process. The end result is a beautiful, functional outdoor space that I love spending time in. I would highly recommend bacqyard and Isabella to anyone looking to transform their outdoor space!

We had a terrific working with Isabella on our Bacqyard project. We did a video chat together and I shared pictures of the current space as well as made an instagram account with inspirations and trends we liked. She blended it all together and it’s WAY beyond what we were expecting. This was a perfect start to our project so now we can go to pool builders and landscape architects with a cohesive vision. 10/10 would recommend!!!

Isabella was incredibly patient and thorough with us. Her original design opened up new ideas for us. Once we started working on it, the design took on new shape. Isabella was patient with our requests. The end result is nothing short of magnificent. I couldn't recommend bacqyard and Isabella more. Thank you.

This service has been a great overall experience. Our designer was a perfect match to our style and we liked our back yard design so much that we got my sister to redo her yard too! The team is truly talented and found the right blends of colors and style to make our space cozy and modern. When we received our first version we were blown away! The first version was so good that we had a hard time deciding what to change for our revision, it was perfect! The design incorporated all our asks beautifully and effortlessly. After a long discussion we decided to scale it back since we do not plan to make this our forever home. The revised version was also amazing but with a hot tub instead of a pool. Also, the renderings are AMAZING! Hands down the best experience, and well worth the value! We are so happy that we went this route and LOVE it!!

I would also like to update the community on my experiences with Bacqyard. We chose to do the whole yard package and filled out there questionnaire with inspirational pictures. We got really excited about the whole process and couldn't wait to hear from the designer. We had the initial conversations and talked about what we liked and didn't like with the existing property and also about the inspirational images we provided. After that we got the first revision and it didn't include many of the items we talked about and was just a image of the existing property. I made edits to the images and we had a call with the designer. it went well and i think we got the ideas down that we were looking for. (Props to Bacqyard here since they didnt count this as my first revision) (you only get one...) So then a while later we got the updated design from them and it was just as i sketched out, there were no design options from there landscape designers, there was no creative content from them. It was just literally what I corrected on the original work. At this point I realized I had to do my best on my own to make the backyard function as best I could ( I never thought about asking for a refund like the last poster did). it took me some more time to make the proper revision to the hardscape and get the areas to flow together, but I expected this from the design firm. I am not a landscape designer. I finally put together a 2nd revision and sent this over, we had another chat with the designer and i was happy with what the yard was looking like (on my design) Got the final drawing package and on that i got to see the full yard. This is important...up to this point they send images of the model not the drawing, so i saw some errors and wanted them cleaned up, nothing major just things that where never shown in previous discussions and for this they asked me to spend another $300 for a new revision. I could not believe this. So be careful, if you know what you want or have some ideas, its possible to get them on paper. If you are expecting a new design, from a landscape designer i think you will be disappointed. At the end of the day, it was a lot of work on our end to have something that we came up with. I am extremely disappointed in the design work from Bacqard and would not work with them again. Hope this helps others. Mike

I had a great experience with bacqyard. I had a million ideas for my small backyard but just couldn’t decide. Working with a designer helped me create a space in my home that I absolutely love. Jonathan was great; we had a video call that allowed me to express what I was looking for in my design. He responded quickly when I made several design changes. I also loved that when it came to matching me with a contractor, they did a fantastic job of helping me find a good contractor in my area. I find I would definitely use bacqyard again! I have already recommended them to several friends. We are breaking ground in a few weeks and I am soooo excited!! Thank you, thank you!!
