Sweetwater Landscape

Wow-what a treat it was to work with Sweetwater! It was the best contracting/landscaping experience we've ever had. Our backyard is SOO beautiful already (and the plants haven't even grown in yet) We try to spend all our time outside. We originally wanted to hire them just to build us an ecosystem pond, but after a few conversations with them, it became clear to us we wanted them to do everything! Our entire backyard landscaping and the pond. It was a big project-- a pond, stream, waterfalls, garden boxes, gazebo, flagstone, super long retaining wall. We couldn't be happier with our backyard! This is what I think sets Sweetwater apart from any other contracting/construction/renovation project we've ever done. 1. They are actually HERE onsite! They don't just send their crew to do all the work and go off to meet new clients. Michelle, Dan, and or Justin-- at least one of them is always here working. So you always have someone to touch base with and ask questions. It leaves very little room for miscommunication. 2. Their creative and artistic skill: Our backyard was a very strange shape, and also the grade was super tricky. We brought in a landscape designer to create a 2d design for us and showed this design to Sweetwater. We used the design as a general guide, but it definitely morphed as we discovered more and more about our strange landscape. Being an artist myself, I had many ideas but no experience in landscape design. Michelle and Dan helped bring our vision to life, and at times when we were stumped or wanted things changed, they came up with great changes, beautiful ideas, and suggestions on the fly! They never left us hanging or let us push forward with a poor choice. 3. Their team is ALL in-house. Every day we had anywhere from 3-5 people working on our yard, I was absolutely shocked with how accurate their project completion times were! They completed the project quickly and skillfully! We started our large project in May and finished before September. Everyone has been commenting on how beautiful and quickly it came together. 4. Great communication- anytime we had a question- they answered quickly via email or even text. 5. They're just great people. You'll understand when you meet them. They are genuinely the warmest and kind people you'll ever meet. 6. They respect women: It's probably a bit sad I even have to mention this in this day and age. Oftentimes, when working with contractors, I find they prefer to speak with my "husband" or the "man of the house." With Sweetwater, I felt no discrimination. In fact, Dan would often mention how he defers to his wife Michele for the final call. I had the pleasure of working with Michele more than anyone and touched base with her almost every other day. It was such a phenomenal experience to be able to work with such an amazing Bosslady! I couldn't recommend them more highly.

Dan and his whole family made this a wonderful experience. He came when he said and was on budget. They exceeded our expectations and even built a surprise seat for our kids to sit and dip their feet in. They truly are pond stars.
