Urban Gardens installed and landscaped a long bluestone path with landscaping and guard rail to provide handicapped access to our home .It was beautifully designed and executed on time and within budget. We are exceptionally pleased.

We have been using the services of Urban Gardens for our Maryland home for a number of years now, and can confidently highly recommend this excellent company. For everything from landscape design and maintenance to the creation of a beautiful stone fire pit and outdoor deck in our backyard, Urban Gardens has accomplished its work with great care and a high degree of professional quality. The cost of service for all of the work done at our home has always been reasonable and competitive, and completed in a timely fashion.In short, we have always been very pleased with the work of the employees of Urban Gardens and the focus of the owners of the company on doing their best in all aspects of their work. We give them our highest recommendation!

A few years ago I needed some plant recommendations for the front of our house. I stopped by, and spoke to the owner about our needs. He made several recommendations, and I bought two plants. They were just right. Last year we redid the bed across the front of the house, and I returned to get landscaping help. I bought six more plants, and they, too, have met the needs and performed beautifully. I appreciate that the owner spent time with me even though I was a small client. He listened to both my interests and the site description, and made recommendations that I would not have thought of on my own.

We hired Urban Gardens about 18 months ago to design us and implement a paver patio in our backyard. In this short amount of time we have had nothing but problems. The patio is rarely used, and yet we have had serious problems with low lying areas forming throughput the patio. Every time it rains, even the slightest bit we have puddles all over the place. The constant water is doing some serious damage to the patio. The pavers in some spots now have become very loose, when you step on them the pavers move around. We went with Urban Gardens because we expected them to be professionals of their craft, but I really regret our decision to go with them. After 18 months you would not expect to have pavers to be sinking, pavers becoming loose and cracked. To top it off, half of the ground around the patio is higher than the patio itself. They assured me that this would not be a problem, so I went with their recommendation since they are the professionals right? Well gravity kicks in and all water flows back against the patio into the house. I have tried calling them, I have tried emailing them with no repose back. Urban Garden has become a 10,000 dollar waste of money. No one ever said anything about an animal living in the drain that you built. We have to spend thousands of dolars now because the work that your company did was sub-par. Every time we get even the slightest drizzle of rain, half of the patio is submerged under water. Imagine what it looks like now after the snow and ice. Update March 2 2015Your team designed this patio, and half of it sits below the ground around it. Now we will have to pay thousands of dollars to get the patio that URBAN Gardens built, replaced. All of the emails and screenshots that I sent your company, why don't you display what our patio looks like on your website. A patio that we cannot use because it is sinking. I've hired Urban Gardens for a couple of smaller jobs that required more manual labor than I could do on my own. They were fantastic! Very responsive and professional. Being an architect myself I am particular about design. Urban Gardens understood the concepts that I was looking to achieve and and were able to create them without my supervision. I just came home from the office and the work was beautifully done.

Urban Gardens were first class throughout the entire process. We renovated our back patio, and Dean's professionalism, creativity, and knowledge were second to none. The project started on time, ended on time, and was competitively priced. We've used Urban Gardens in the past, and will most certainly use them again. I would recommend them for any outdoor upgrade.
