We hired Serett Metalworks for a custom fabrication project and paid a substantial deposit to get on their schedule. Communication broke down almost immediately — for weeks we couldn't get basic updates on our project despite repeated emails, calls, and texts. With no progress to show and no responsiveness, we made the difficult decision to cancel before fabrication began. Serett agreed in writing to return our deposit. That was months ago. Since then we've received repeated assurances that a refund check was on the way, but nothing has ever arrived, and getting any response at all now takes multiple attempts. The quality of their past portfolio is what drew us in, but our experience was defined by silence and broken commitments. I can only review what we went through: a signed project, a large deposit paid, no work delivered, and a promised refund that never came. I'd urge anyone considering them to structure payments carefully and get every commitment in writing.
