“I can't say enough to accurately express how happy I was with the work Reid and his team did. Not only is Reid a perfectionist, but he is trustworthy, which for me was the most important factor in selecting a contractor to do the remodel for almost my entire new home. Reid has the project management skills to help plan and organize any project and he can do most of the work himself. I appreciated that when I needed additional help, outside of the scope of his general responsibilities, he always had a contact to come help me, at a reasonable cost. And knowing that Reid trusted his contact made me trust them. I also really appreciated that no project was too big or too small for Reid. I've had multiple back surgeries and have to be very careful about my physical activity. Reid helped me with so many little jobs to help me get settled in the house. With Reid you will get an honest, dependable, skilled, professional, craftsman. I don't usually rave online about things like this but Reid deserves it!”

“Forte Construction & Design started with remodeling my small bathroom, installing a new vanity, toilet, lighting fixtures, and porcelain tiles, etc., and they did such a great job I had them do my master bathroom remodel, whole house hardwood flooring, laundry room flooring and various other jobs. The Foreman and his crew started work promptly every day and were professional and courteous. Their work ethic was refreshing- no smoking breaks, no chit chatting, no checking their cell phones, just working! They cleaned up their work area at the end of each day and did top notch work. I was apprehensive to hire a contractor for these jobs because anyone can make you promises about what they're going to do and then when it comes time to do the job those promises are far from what transpires, but I was not disappointed with Forte Construction.... they actually did what they said they were going to do. The Project Manager was always available and responsive to my questions or concerns and frequently showed up to the job site to ensure that all work performed was to my satisfaction and listened to all concerns that I had and addressed/corrected them. Their pricing was reasonable and I feel I got my money's worth for the quality of work and attention to detail they provided. I have more projects in the future and will assuredly use them again!!!”

“Arlen Miller and his crew remodeled two bathrooms and our kitchen and did a superb job. Everything was removed including ceilings, fixtures, drywall, and in one room, a window was moved. Often he had to do some creative problem solving because of problems with our existing older home. He helped to maximize our space and storage. I was particularly pleased with the woodwork that was done including built in shelves, beadboard, crown molding etc. When I wasn't sure what would look best, Arlen would suggest various things and even bring in samples for me to see ahead of time. He'd send me links to pictures on houzz and other sites as well. After our home, Arlen did an extensive remodel on our daughter's circa 1900 home and its just gorgeous. The entire Miller Crew was clean, courteous, timely and honest. Their character and workmanship is sterling and I highly recommend them.”

“Fred was great to work with, I called him and told him my roof was leaking, he was there the next day with the tarp. After i spoke to the insurance company, he took over from there. He explained everything to me about the roof repair, it was done in a timely fashion. I was pleased. I would recommend this company.”

“Replacement of windows in a rental property along with some minor wood trim work. Other than the weather slowing the project down slightly, everything happened like it should have. Professional, quality work, good communication during the weather issues. Basically, they did what they said they were going to do which is something I respect in a contractor. “I've used Gibson Home Services several times over the past few years and have always been impressed with their professionalism and happy with the results. The owner, Josh Gibson, personally comes out to meet with the homeowner, review the work which needs to be done, and offer options. I love that he always offers options on materials, not just high vs low, but also the benefits of each option. Within a day or two of your appointment he emails you a written estimate which includes the cost of supplies, materials, labor, and the amount of time to complete the job. While there's always the caveat that if they start the job and run into problems the price could escalate, I've never had this happen and they're always able to do the work for the quoted price. Only once did I use a different local company and I regretted it (the other company flat out refused to provide me with a quote then charged me an insane price for a small job and refused to provide an itemized materials list). Needless to say I learned my lesson and now Gibson Home Services is the only home repair company I use. They're based in Warrenton, VA but service all of Northern Virginia (Fairfax, Loudoun, Arlington, Alexandria, Prince William, etc).”
