“After living with paper shades for nearly two years on the sliding doors in my living room and contemplating the possibilities of a “special” treatment for the focal point of the entire floor, I visited Jody Hall at Gables. Jody was warm, patient and a great listener! I was sure about not wanting verticals but didn't really know what else was available. After carefully listening to my hearts desire, Jody showed me some possibilities, more than I more than I could have imagined. An appointment was scheduled to our mutual convenience and she came with a great amount of selections in various price ranges with which to choose. After a no rush decision making process, we narrowed it down to my favorite three. Jody gave me the cost of each and a decision was made to purchase the Hunter Douglas Luminette vertical sheers. I was told it would take approximately 10 days to manufacture and I would be notified when they were available for installation. Since Gables is a full service decorating service, I was also able to pick Jody’s designer sense regarding other aspects of the room to which she offered viable suggestions. The blinds were ready as approximated and an installation appointment was set to accommodate my schedule. Jim Hall, also the owner of Gables, was as warm and friendly as Jody, not to mention skilled, talented and accommodating. He carefully took his time in setting up the mechanics of the blind with detailed attention and transformed this room in to more than I could have hoped for. The blind sat perfectly level and really makes the room. The installation process was professional, detailed, neat and orderly. As if that weren't enough, Jim also hung a very heavy mirror for me at no additional cost with the same precision he demonstrated in the installation of the window covering. The mirror in this particular area was also inspired by suggestions made by Jody! All in all, this was a most positive experience and a relationship that I’m sure will continue as I tackle other decorating needs to make my house feel like a home!”
