We purchased a new front door through a contractor and had it installed. Within the first year, a the frame of the door (newel post) developed a crack. Our contractor gave up working on the issue with Harvey and I had to take over the follow up. Initially I was told that they would need to replace the door, then when I tried to get this scheduled, I was told that Harvey only manufactures the door slab and not the frame, and that the frame company was insisting on a repair. Over the next 2 plus years, their initial inability to find our records in their systems, no follow up requiring multiple calls from me to different representatives, and 3 failed attempts at filling and painting the crack, I was told that the problem was extremely rare, that they don't "normally do repairs" and the crack is cosmetic and not structural, and that I could try a finding a carpenter who may have more experience this sort of thing. Bottom line is, we purchased a Harvey door, it cracked, and they didn't stand behind their product.

They’re OK until they’re Not…. We outfitted our new construction cottage with Harvey Products thru a local contractor; windows, doors, siding etc. We visited their showroom in Berlin CT, and they were mostly helpful. Long-story-short, one of the exterior doors leaked badly at the lower corners on both sides. It’s a Therma-Tru door slab, but Harvey manufactured and fitted the frame. The Harvey Rep said that the problem was improper installation, so it was replaced by our contractor under the Harvey Rep’s supervision. The second door also leaked in the same two places, so it wasn’t the installation. Harvey has been doing a dance ever since. The contact person is either “in a meeting” or “on a conference call”. After repeated calls she begs off, and “has to take it up with the New Hampshire field office”. Total run-around. Harvey is an OK supplier, until you have a problem. When that happens, they don’t want to know. I’ve read that they used to be a pretty good company until they got bought out. Consider yourself warned.

I contacted Harvey about a faulty lock on my sliding door. Customer service was very responsive and promptly ordered the part and scheduled service. The technician was very professional, on time, and our door was fixed in under 5 minutes.

I contacted Harvey Building Products via their web site link regarding a warranty claim for three window sashes that are ten years old. I was provided clear instructions on how to submit a proper claim. I emailed the requested photos of the affected windows and my request for replacements was promptly approved. I am 100% satisfied with the response by the Harvey customer service rep. He was polite and professional and gave complete and clear instructions on how to obtain the replacements at no cost as the windows were under warranty. I would gladly do business with Harvey Building Products again.

Had a patio door delivered that had issues and needed to be remade, Harvey's made sure all my customers needs were satisfied all the way through the job until door install.

Great windows and great service! I had an issue with one window about 5 years after installation and they took care of it flawlessly. Would definitely recommend and use again.

Ordered 32 Harvey Majestic double hung windows to replace all the windows in our home. It was a big job, Somehow the wrong colored exterior window was ordered. I suspect the ordering process may be confusing. Harvey refused to redo the order, and we had to paint over the aluminum clad exterior which obviously does not look nearly as nice and also voids the warranty. It was the most expensive renovation my family has ever done, and it was a super disappointing outcome. BE VERY CAREFUL DURING THE ORDERING PROCESS!

Installed Harvey Majesty Wood Windows in our home. The tilt in for cleaning makes my job so much easier. Beautiful windows. We chose grilles on top nothing on bottom with half screens which are almost invisible. The view is clear. Our installer was able to remove old windows and install new with no damage to inside or outside walls. Wish we had done this years ago.

Harvey building product offers great products for all budgets. Showrooms are very helpful and have great information for making selections. Investing in your home can be stressful, Harvey will alleviate this. You won't regret using Harvey for your building products. We never have.
