On September 16, 2025, I met with a Paradise Exteriors sales representative who first quoted me $113,000 for window and door replacement. After a few “calls with the owner,” the price was lowered to $82,000 on the condition that I sign the contract and pay a $5,000 deposit that same evening. I was assured that under Florida law, I would have three business days to cancel without penalty. The following day, I emailed the sales representative to cancel. On the morning of September 19th, within the three-day cancellation window—I hand-delivered the signed Notice of Cancellation to their office. Mark Hildreth, Vice President of Operations, signed and misdated the document for September 20 instead of September 19, which would have made it appear I missed the deadline. When I later checked the form in my car, I noticed the incorrect date. I immediately returned to the office, where an employee tried to white out the error; I insisted on a new signature and correct date. Despite complying fully with Florida Statute §501.025, which requires refunds within ten business days of cancellation, Paradise Exteriors failed to return my $5,000 deposit. When I called, they said it was in review and they actually have 14 days. I reached out to the sales rep and asked to investigate it , I spoke to an employee at a booth they had set up and had him send a strong message back to the owner. None of that helped me get my deposit back, until October 15, 2025—more than three weeks later—I had an attorney send a certified letter. Only then did the owner personally call and hand-deliver the refund that evening. Based on my research, this appears to be a recurring practice. Public complaints show other consumers waiting for refunds after cancellations. Paradise Exteriors currently has 37 BBB complaints in the past three years.

A total waste of time plus enduring unnecessary emotional distress. Avoid this company if you can . On May 8th 2021, I gave 50% deposit to change my windows to impact windows in the amount of $12,000.00 waited almost 6 months for them, they lied about almost everything, that the windows I chose are not approved by the city where I live, (thus they might install a different model with probably inferior quality but still I had to pay for the agreed price on the most expensive ones) -(it was not true, the city did not approve or disapprove anything because they had not applied for the permit), on the same realm, they said the design was not approved either , that “we had to fight” , that they were applying for the respective permits but none of that was true at all, so, after almost 6 months they had my money on their side and did nothing. They never applied for a permit. I requested the full refund , initially they refused, they replied that the contract specified that I had only 3 days to cancel upon signing the contract , but the law in Florida protects us from predators like them. “According to Florida Statute § 486.126, if a contractor accepts more than a ten percent down payment, he must apply for permits within thirty days after the date payment is made, and start the work within 90 days after all necessary permits are issued. Therefore, if you pay a Florida contractor more than 10 percent as a deposit, he/she must abide to a certain timeline in completing the work contemplated. If the Florida contractor does not abide to that timeline, he may be found guilty of theft pursuant to the statute.” I used that information and I requested from them my full refund in writing as specified by the law, that was on 10/20/2021. I received a call on 11/03/2021 from them where they acquiesced and stated that the “check is in the mail”, (another lie) -I sent them a letter from Miami, Fl and they received it in 2 days , somehow, in Boynton beach, Fl , the mail might work different . Oh no! It doesn’t ! I received the refund check today , postmarked on 11/10/2021, so a week later after they had said the check was on the mail . In the meantime , I have been receiving phone calls from different staff personnel from paradise windows pushing to continue the project . On the positive side , I got my full refund today 11/13/2021 , (hopefully it is a good check and it clears appropriately) . But I got it because I read the law, and made them aware that their criminal actions could be prosecuted. They were initially reluctant to return my money. For your own sanity : read all the reviews . Contact the aggravated customers . The 5 star reviews might not be genuine. There are plenty of us suffering from their business practice.

Paradise installers were above and beyond amazing! Jose and his team were quick, clean, and professional. If you can request an installer I would highly recommend them. Also Jerry in the finance department was so helpful and amazing. He advised me really well and he is truly trustworthy. The windows and doors are beautiful and extremely good quality. My neighbor got new windows also from a different company, and I think my windows from Paradise are better. My negatives: The salesman Bill was a little much, his sales pitch was too long. Very sweet man, but he needs to condense his sales speech. Also there was an office girl who was a little unfeeling everytime she called to say there was a delay in delivery. I was always polite, but she came across very curt - and that made me uncomfortable, especially since everyone in general have been so nice.

Everything went like clockwork. Paradise installers came on time and worked until the job was completed. They explained the features of the windows and everything that was promised was fulfilled. We had one small issue which was corrected immediately. These windows are beautiful, functional and I definitely recommend Paradise Exteriors!

Flo was very professional, meticulous, funny, answered all our questions and went the extra mile. We look forward to meeting him again to have hurricane impact windows installed. I would recommend him and Paradise Exteriors to ALL my friends and family.

Paradise Exteriors team was very communicative and always arrived on time. One window arrived broken from the manufacturer, but the team ordered a new one and replaced this as well as the screens. I would recommend this company.

Everything we discussed prior to job was promised. They were quick and clean. I plan on using them for future work and I would definitely recommend them.

I would recommend this company for your new windows. Communication was almost TOO good - they would call to confirm appointments, etc. when I was unavailable. Installation was good, except for a crack in my threshold.
