Our studio got to work with incredible clients to design this new-build home from the ground up. We wanted to make certain that we showcased the breathtaking views, so we designed the entire space around the vistas. Our inspiration for this home was a mix of modern design and mountain style homes, and we made sure to add natural finishes and textures throughout. The fireplace in the great room is a perfect example of this, as we featured an Italian marble in different finishes and tied it together with an iron mantle. All the finishes, furniture, and material selections were hand-picked–like the 200-pound chandelier in the master bedroom and the hand-made wallpaper in the living room–to accentuate the natural setting of the home as well as to serve as focal design points themselves. --- Project designed by Montecito interior designer Margarita Bravo. Stephen Karlisch // This lakeside home was completely refurbished inside and out to accommodate 16 guests in a stylish, hotel-like setting. Owned by a long-time client of Pulp, this home reflects the owner's personal style -- well-traveled and eclectic -- while also serving as a landing pad for her large family. With spa-like guest bathrooms equipped with robes and lotions, guest bedrooms with multiple beds and high-quality comforters, and a party deck with a bar/entertaining area, this is the ultimate getaway.

The girl's bunk on the top level was to feel like a vintage attic. So the color pallet is a real muted soft blue-green that feels very historic. This suite incorporates a sleeping alcove, with four upholstered twin beds and concealed storage drawers. All the walls and ceilings are planked. A very playful, bright color scheme was chosen from the wall covering in the girl's bunk bath. In the bathroom a floating vanity was chosen, the detailing on the drawers is a random width and depth plank with an enlarged bead on the drawers. Countertops are a honed white marble and in the showers, are incorporated a glass tile to enhance the water and lake feel.

For this ski-in, ski-out mountainside property, the intent was to create an architectural masterpiece that was simple, sophisticated, timeless and unique all at the same time. The clients wanted to express their love for Japanese-American craftsmanship, so we incorporated some hints of that motif into the designs. In the powder bathroom design we wanted to make a statement, to create something one-of-a-kind within the confines of the restricted space, while still fitting in all of the necessary features. We used a burlap Elitis wallcovering to add texture and depth and Shakuff drizzle pendants with mixed sized glass orbs to create a dramatic effect. We continued the walnut plank flooring used in the home’s main areas and designed a custom curved concrete wall-hung sink and a wood-framed mirror to complete the unique look. Forward looking convenient features include electronic soap and tissue dispensers and built-in trash cans.
