For the master bathroom, we wanted it to feel luxurious, which I believe we achieved with the oversized honey bronze hardware and luxe gold plumbing fixtures by Brizo along with the three vanity wall sconces in the same finish. Adding to the luxurious feel in this bathroom was the tall custom beveled mirrored medicine cabinets which brings your eye up the statement marble chevron wall which we also repeated inside the medicine cabinets and down the center of the shower acting as an accent. Originally built in the 1980s with terra cotta tile and cheap, polished brass, this bathroom is now a sleek, modern marvel. The juxtaposition of simplicity and luxury is evidenced by the walls clad in a large-format porcelain tile that looks like marble but requires no sealing or maintenance and is easy to clean. Gleaming modern plumbing fixtures also present restraint but with a touch of glamour. The eleven-foot wide vanity with integrated toe kick light is capped with a single-piece framed mirror that coordinates with the furniture below it. Granite on walls in tub area, instead of tile, is a unique design feature. Same type of granite used on the counter tops. Decorative pendent lights hanging on both sides of mirror, specialty painted Black cabinets, and Black plumbing fixtures are all also interesting choices. The smooth wall texture is replicated on the ceiling, and a hand trowel was used to provide subtle texture variations.
