MossCreek
This rustic retreat in central Oregon is loaded with modern amenities.
Timber frame and log houses often conjure notions of remote rustic outposts located in solitary surroundings of open grasslands or mature woodlands. When the owner approached MossCreek to design a timber-framed log home on a less than one acre site in an upscale Oregon golf community, the principle of the firm, Allen Halcomb, was intrigued. Bend, OR, on the eastern side of the Cascades Mountains, has an arid desert climate, creating an ideal environment for a Tuscan influenced exterior.

Marvin
The homeowners of this private residence had a simple goal: Let in as much of the breathtaking, Western landscape scenery as possible. To do that, the architects kept asking: Can we make the windows even bigger? Their ambitious vision became a reality after the Marvin Signature team found ways to elegantly conceal structural support for massive window assemblies, providing virtually unlimited viewing potential. One-of-a-kind beautiful windows for one-of-a-kind beautiful views that are built to stand up to both wind and structural loads.

Master bedroom in Hacienda Style. Nailheaded leather headboard with a carved wood framed headboard. A wonderful brick fireplace adds comfort to the space. The trunk at the foot of the bed is used for seating and for storage! The leaded glass arched window is one of two that were added to each side of the fireplace. the wood ceiling was restained to add warmth and give that finished Hacienda feeling.

The view out the glass doors and windows makes you feel like you are living in a tree house. The desk is a harbor for the homeowners laptop and a the perfect place to do office work. The homeowners can access a shallow deck behind the upholstered plaid chairs and take advantage of the fresh mountain air by leaving the glass doors open.
