This client wanted a deep corner tub that was easy to get into, so we created some small steps with a handrail and accented them with some fun red glass. The vessel sinks are from oceana glass and add a nice finishing touch.

This master bath has his and hers pedestal sinks with beveled glass mirrors hung above each. The bathroom floor is large Travertine tile, set on the diagonal. The shower walls and floor are Travertine as well. A custom frameless shower glass enclosure was installed, to keep the shower area open, The corner cabinet was custom made to look like furniture and had a distressed/antique finish applied. In this elegant master bath, the inset tub is placed under an arched window and surrounded by white marble countertop. The front apron of the tub is tiled in yellow onyx with a white marble border and diamonds. It is all set in an alcove with a vaulted ceiling and flanked by walls covered in yellow damask wallcovering. A gold roman tub faucet and gold mirror complete the area

If ever there was an ugly duckling, this master bath was it. While the master bedroom was spacious, the bath was anything but with its 30” shower, ugly cabinetry and angles everywhere. To become a beautiful swan, a bath with enlarged shower open to natural light and classic design materials that reflect the homeowners’ Parisian leanings was conceived. After all, some fairy tales do have a happy ending. By eliminating an angled walk-in closet and relocating the commode, valuable space was freed to make an enlarged shower with telescoped walls resulting in room for toiletries hidden from view, a bench seat, and a more gracious opening into the bath from the bedroom. Also key was the decision for a single vanity thereby allowing for two small closets for linens and clothing. A lovely palette of white, black, and yellow keep things airy and refined. Charming details in the wainscot, crown molding, and six-panel doors as well as cabinet hardware, Laurent door style and styled vanity feet continue the theme. Custom glass shower walls permit the bather to bask in natural light and feel less closed in; and beautiful carrera marble with black detailing are the perfect foil to the polished nickel fixtures in this luxurious master bath. Opportunity She said “traditional country” and he said “modern.” Turns out they both really wanted modern. Who knew? Results The challenge of not knowing what the outcome would be was replaced with excitement that the designer could hold their dream and make it a reality. They now have the most luxurious spa bath on the block.
