Patio kitchen - large traditional backyard stone patio kitchen idea in New York with no cover
EcoRegions
What a striking home! This home in South Baton Rouge was designed by Cockfield-Jackson and the clients wanted a complete landscape design that would accompany the architecture of this A. Hays Town inspired home.
Featured in this design are a substantial entertainment area in the rear, complete with an outdoor kitchen (built by Joffrion Construction) expansive pool with water feature wall, and a bluestone courtyard. Additionally, this home features a quaint side yard complete with brick steps leading to a bluestone courtyard with an antique sugar kettle fountain. The clients also needed options for guests to park. A circular driveway in the front provided a grand entrance, as well as ample parking for plenty of guests.

The polished granite stone countertop is Operetta from Stone & Tile World of Rockville, MD. The stainless steel cabinets and Asko dishwasher are specially designed for outdoor use. Two 24-inch beverage refrigerators are tucked under the countertops. All appliances were ordered from Danver. The floor is flagstone and the walls are western red cedar.

A waterfront backyard set on a hill too steep to enjoy. To remedy this we installed terraced patio surfaces with stone steps smoothly descending down the hillside to the water. Boulders and walls were used throughout the landscape to ensure soil retention and add a beautiful contrast of natural and man-made appeal to the yard. Each patio surface had plenty of space for people to enjoy without feeling claustrophobic and had seating walls for built in seating space. The plantings were used to soften and brighten the yard, with plants accenting key areas of the landscape. A seating area was installed to one side of the yard to add a more secluded area for a more intimate enjoyment. The added deck space along with the patio space made what was once an unusable yard, something the family could utilize for large scale events.

For this family in Chatham, NJ we were hired to build them a bluestone patio at the rear of their home. The patio includes a modern gas fire-pit, built-in grilling station, a bar complete with built-in refrigerator and kegerator, (2) light piers, a sitting wall around the perimeter and (2) sets of steps. In order to give the home continuity from front to back, we used matching natural blue bluestone tiles of random sizes, matching real stone veneer to all stair risers, structure sides and walls. 2" thick bluestone caps were used for the walls and stair treads. We installed LED strip lighting below the lip of the wall caps to give them some night lighting. The counter top material for the grilling station and bar is 1.25" Quartz. The finished product was a great success and we couldn't have asked to work for a better family. We wish them many good times ahead in their new outdoor living space! #GreatWorkForGreatPeople

Exterior solar shades and awning systems are the most efficient solution to protect your windows and patio areas from the sun's damaging heat and UV rays.
Blocking up to 99% of UV, motorized retractable shading systems allow you to block the sun and heat or reverse the strategy to allow in natural light and heat as desired.
