Don't be discouraged. Social media (and other online forms of marketing/PR) is about being in as many places as possible. No one channel or platform is going to be the magic pill. Set your expectations realistically, this is a free forum, not Google Adwords.

Blogging, being on Houzz, Pinterest, Twitter, Facebook, etc., are parts of the puzzle which need to be connected with other parts to be effective. Houzz is not really a direct lead generator, but what it does offer is a place where you have the chance of being seen by people and organizations who may refer you at some point in the future. If you are fortunate, you may also encounter that dream client.

In the meantime, by utilizing Houzz to its full capabilities you are driving traffic back to your website, creating backlinks (which are great for SEO), producing re-usable website/blog/twitter/facebook content, increasing your credibility, expanding your network, and getting a sense of market trends.

I'd say that's quite a lot for something that you are getting free (notwithstanding your time and effort, of course).
