I don't know the size of your dogs, but in my experience and the research I've done, dogs should not eat out of raised dishes. Their anatomy is built to eat off the ground. Eating out of a raised dish allows air to enter the body and causes extra gas, and if you have a large breed dog, they can get bloat. Which is a horrible thing to experience. I found a plastic tray that has round raised sides that keep spilt water and food off the floor. Easy pick-up for an easy clean-up.
