What color should we paint this room? We will be leaving the wood beams dark. The room doesn't get much sun because it is in the basement level. We plan on making it into a kids open play room with lots of whimsy and colorful fun. There will not be any formal furniture like a sofa. Instead it will have cushioned floor mats for tumbling, poufs, and maybe a swing from the ceiling.

We were thinking a warm white color, but because it is so dark, we are concerned it will just look dirty. Should we go for a bright white for contrast? Or a golden toast color for warmth? Want it to inviting for the kids to play in, not the creepy, dark, basement feeling it has now.
