how long will a peach survive out of the soil

I've got a few peach trees in a garbage bag...they are moist (its been raining/snowing here for 2 days straight)...its in the 30Fs... Are these things fine in those conditions? I need to replant them somewhere else or give them away (they are ones that just popped up last year)...have no room for them. They are completely dormant still...should be fine for at least a few days/week??? Probably should throw some wet shredded paper in there, but i'm lazy.

They will be good for several weeks if at cold temps and not drying out.

Thanks..i figured they would be fine...no big warm ups in store, so i'll see if i can get them planted in the next few days.

Frank,

Some nurseries dig their trees in the fall and store them all winter in refrigeration. Your trees should be fine if you can keep them cold but not freezing, and keep the roots moist.
