I just prune mine and make more plants. It looks like you could make at least 3 new plants out of it, perhaps into one pot.

Snip off with at least a leaf or two on top and one towards the bottom of the cut. I snap off the bottom leaf....and let it dry for a little while until the oozing stops. Then just stick it in soil and water once thoroughly. Repeat the same with other cuttings and stick in the same pot.

Keep the pot in a bright room away from direct sun and away from drafts. After about a month, if you lightly tug on the individual pieces, you'll find they should have rooted. I water about once a week, lightly, until they root, then it's back to business as usual.

I made a pot for my mom to take home and kept other snips here; they look like they're doing well.

Mine started out as very large cuttings taken off a housebound specimen that was effectively ziptied to a livingroom wall. The mother plant's owner was very happy to let me keep the cuttings in exchange for doing the actual pruning.

Really wish I'd taken a pic of the host tree before I cut it back,having never seen a huge but leggy ficus elastica ziptied all the way down a wall before. It was crazy looking.

Here's the part that I got...

It would have been better if you'd given some consideration to the timing of your pruning operation some time in early July. If it was my plant, I think I'd forgo any hard pruning until late Jun or early Jul of next year. I would probably repot (a full repot as opposed to potting up) around Father's Day and cut the plant back quite hard around Independence Day. This would put you in sync with the plant's natural rhythms, instead of fighting against them. For now, I would probably only tip-prune all the stems enough to facilitate moving the plant indoors.
