Removed my Jonafree

I removed my Jonafree apple tree today. I hated to do it, because I planted it with my daughter fourteen years ago, when she was little.
The tree was disease resistant as advertised, but it produced very little fruit, though there are plenty of other pollinators around. About half of the apples fell to the ground and spoiled.
It didn't get full sun all day, and my soil is poor, but my neighbor's Red Delicious makes bushels of apples in similar conditions.
If any fruit tree is going to take up valuable space in my little yard, it has to perform.
