There was so much foliage from trees, it was difficult to get a decent shot of the church.

There were no large windows to assist with a shot of the interior. As in all churches we visited, no flash allowed. This portion of the church dates from 1667.

As we returned to the ship (earlier than expected, due to a no-show by the tour operator), we passed through this market that was set up for the cruise ship passengers. There were two ships in port, ours and a ship from the MSC line, mostly Germans. We ate lunch on board and napped.

We needed to rest up for another day at sea the next day.

Somewhat of a ramble.

Jim, your pictures of the doors drew my interest.
In my travels thru asia, especially China, I saw some gorgeous doors. Many of them were very ornate and painted red, others were simple, but they did have some sort of a symbol, like a Lion carved in wood.
Some doors only opened inward, with a step down, like one of the pics you posted.
Fast forward. Some years ago, China decided they needed another water source, so they wanted to build a dam in an old part of a village so they would flood all the houses.
An American company made a deal with the Chines gov. They went in and removed all the old doors.
Sent them to the US and sold them for thousands of $ as head boards.
End of ramble but not the end of interest in old doors.

I forgot this one. Another interesting thing - big time Italian thing in a big time Spanish city.

The no flash in churches and other buildings is a good thing. Many years ago in Germany I was a participant in a wedding in a gothic cathedral. Then a tour bus arrived. It did not bother the tourists that there was a service, they just used their flashbulbs (flashbulbs, yes it was that long ago) anyway and they were highly anoyed when told to stop. Shortly afterwards notice went up that flash was prohibited,
