For some of us...

Here is a link that might be useful: looking for my wallet and car keys

Wish I could watch it! I'm on dial-up and it's hard to download videos, takes forever and ties up my phone-line (whine, whine)

I love this, just the whole way it's presented. Lilo, here are the lyrics

Looking for my wallet and my car keys.
Well they can't a gone too far.
Just as soon as I find my glasses,
I'm sure I'll see just where they are.

Suppose to meet someone for lunch today,
    but I can't remember where
or who it is that I am meeting.
    It's in my organizer.....somewhere.

I might'a left it on the counter.
    Maybe outside in the car.
The last time I remember driving
was to that memory enhancement seminar.

What's that far off distant ringing?
    That strangely familiar tone.
Must be the person I am meeting
calling me on my brand new cordless telephone.

I might'a left it under the covers
or maybe outside on the lawn.
I've got just one more ring to go
before my answering machine kicks on.

"Hi, this is Tom and your call means a lot to me
so leave a message at the tone
and I'll do my best to try to remember
to call you back when I get home."

    BEEP! "Tom, this is Gwendolyn
and I'm trying not to cry.
I've been waiting here for over an hour.
I thought you loved me! This is good-bye!"

    Well the voice sounds familiar
and the name rings a bell.
    Now let's see, where was I . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .

    OH WELL.

It's funny! Thanks for the lyrics, Marda.
My own take is it had to be a man complaining, it's not that women are less forgetful, but they have more tricks,IMHO, to fool themselves and so seem more efficient.
After all, most women had mates who said: "remind me to..."
and if one has children, multi-tasking becomes a second nature.
The car-key thing, in my situation, is solved easily - I quit driving LOL
I also have quite a staff to keep me functioning, two dogs, four cats, four goats, chickens, a rooster and for baby-chicks - they make sure I do my duties :)

Responsibility is a good reason for many good things.
