I sprouted several diff types of seeds in bags (did great!) then I put them in just sand. I sterilized it with boiling water first, then cooled it. Is this ok??? I could swear I read in one of the posts about just using sand, but now that I want to verify it I can't find it anywhere!

I did this with some luffa gourds also and was planning on just putting them in the ground after, but it has been too cold here (record low of 34 yesterday! And I was worried about them getting fried in the hot june sun!) I had to put them in a larger container, they were too big for my egg cartons. Do you think they will grow?

Also, should I put plastic wrap over them to continue the greenhouse effect?
