keeping baby fish thru winter

found about 2 dozen baby fish this summer in my 8000 gal pond. they are all growing, some are almost 2.5 inches long now, others smaller and still black (color)

all are koi, some butterfly-type looking, others plain.

Should I do anything special to ensure their survival thru the winter ? We leave the filter/pump in place and running thru the winter (usually only have a few weeks of frozen pond, never totally freezes over) and we heat an area near the pump to keep it running.

I hate the thought of fishing them out of a 24 foot long, five foot deep pond.
