It struck me as possibly being shepard's purse. But there are more than a few plants starting out as prostrate rosettes, and I'm not good at identifying wild flowers or weeds.

Shepard's purse is possible, calliope, but you're right about there being many options. Since that rosette may look significantly different once it develops, this is one that I'll just revisit in the spring. Thanks for your help.
