Thus creating the view of your hallway and not such a nice conversation area. Its very hard to fight the urge to push our furniture up against the walls but in this case it really would be best. Another option to consider would be a grouping of four chairs around a round coffee table. We could loose the storage console and add a mirror and artwork for interest. We don't need as many pieces if you are ok without some of the storage. Yet another idea would be to replace the two chairs with a bench ottoman to open the visual space a bit more. We did order the 2 BLUE chairs, although they're a little deeper & richer blue than the ones you very kindly photoshopped for me. When they arrive and are placed on the wall with the 2 windows & a table and lamp between them, the room may begin to take shape. Becky, I've never shopped for frames at a goodwill store - good idea.
