I did up until the New Orleans Convention. Never missed one. Age, a fixed income, being handicapped, and not being able to drive distances have put an end to my convention attendance.
I enjoyed them all and learned a lot.
The rose show is a sight to behold.

Las Vegas. I had it years ago. I agree it's a beautiful rose but is tender in our area. Unless you are prepared to provide extensive winter protection you might think twice about buying it.
Las Vegas is a Kordes rose hybridized before they began to think about hardiness and disease resistance.

Thanks for the information about Las Vegas. The woman that had the rose in her garden performed the Minnesota tip on this rose. It was huge and absolutely stunning.

The convention was wonderful, but it is very expensive. I hope I am able to attend another one sometime.

I attended part of it (would have done more but our daughter lives there and we spent most of our time visiting her and her family). The garden tours are always one of the highlights of the conventions. It's fun to see how other people grow their roses, and you can get some good ideas from them.

The convention this September will be in St. Louis. Hotel costs will be less and we will have some great tours. We will also have some outstanding speakers like Tom Carruth of Weeks, Gregg Lowery of Vintage Gardens, Steven Scanniello, and Thomas Proll of Kordes in Germany.
