I figured out that I purchased a "Phyll. Vivax" and a "Giant Grey Bamboo" off e-bay in March of 08'. This year they actually both produced lots of culms (for the first time). I also have Yellow Grove which I got from someone which is doing absolutely wonderful. My question is this, is there any way to tell the difference between the two I got off e-bay? One produced culms least 10-13 feet and only around 6 of them. The other not quite that tall but around 10. All the new culms are between 1/2 inch or 3/4 inch wide. When the culms were coming up they did not look at all like a Henon or Vivax culm. I can't find any information on young plants. Also, when would be another good time to fertilize?
