Update

Some things to note-- the raspberry coloration comes in more once the bloom is fully open and reaches maturity. If possible, it becomes more stunning. Two of the three scapes have opened all of their flowers. It seems the second pair of blooms are less double than the first. However, they also have loads of pollen, which I will collect for whoever wishes to hybridize with this bulb.

The bulb is small-- roughly 4 inches in diameter and despite 3 scapes and very fully flowers, it has had little wasting.

I'm so jealous of three scapes!! ;-) Nevermind that the blooms are so gosh darn beautiful! My boysenberry swirl is just sitting there. I'm going to have to show it your pictures and see if I can get it's competitive juices flowing.

I've decided that I have no absolute favorite... I have a few that I might prefer over others, but to say that one is better than another, or better than all the rest, would just be a lie! I love them all! It's an addiction!

I have sentimental favorites... given to me by special people... and then there's my oldest bulb, Minerva... but I love them all! :-)

my bosenberry swirl has made 3 offsets this year. im so happy with her i saw a full bed in flower at macguires a few years ago it was just stunning. your photoes are just great thank u

Danny, I have one too and she is just starting to send up a scape. The first year she bloomed without roots and this year she is well rooted so I'm hoping she will be more beautiful..Make sure you post pictures of your flowers when they bloom too..we can't wait to see them!
