Oh I just HATE those little plant-suckers!! I finally got rid of almost all my Huernias and Stapelias because no matter what I did, they always came back. I've learned to spritz certain plants - Hoyas, Aloes, Haworthias - regularly with alcohol just to keep the buggers away. I wish someone would come up with a way to rid the world permenantly of these pests.

I suggest crushing the ba****ds with your own hands before using insecticides... I use a needle and this gives me a lot of satisfaction ;)
Luckily very few can survive the smog of the city...

LOL.....mealies aren't very popular amongst us lot are they?

They tend to go rife during the winter in my greenhouse when I'm in there looking round less often. I have some fine pieces of stiff wire that I use for killing the blasted things. I also blast the plants with a jet of water to dislodge bugs and the mess they make but this doesn't stop those in the soil.
